Get Use to the Word "No"

Here's the reality: There's no predetermined number of attempts needed to achieve your goals. However, your willingness to hear "no" significantly increases your chances of eventually getting a "yes."

It might take 1 or 1,000 tries. What if I told you it would take 1,001 rejections before you succeeded? Would it be worth it?

Would you keep going, or give up after the first few "nos"?

As a career and leadership coach, I've helped numerous professionals transform their careers by mastering persistence. Here’s how you can do it too:

  • Stay aligned with your 'why': Remember your purpose. Would you prefer facing rejection or never attempting to achieve your goals?

  • Reframe rejection: Every "no" brings you closer to your "why." It's not a setback but progress.

  • Learn and adapt: Analyze each rejection. What can you improve? How can you refine your approach to ensure success?

  • Celebrate small wins: Every failure provides valuable information. Struggling to find a win? Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps.

  • Build resilience: Like a muscle, resilience strengthens with each attempt. Every "no" is a rep. Eventually, you’ll become accustomed to it.

Remember, your breakthrough might be just one "no" away. So, how many times should you be willing to hear "no"?

The answer is simple: As many times as it takes.
